Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Economics and Agribusiness, Applied Agriculture Extension, Agriculture, Animal Husbandry or a related area
- Knowledge in animal husbandry, agriculture, value chain development, food and nutrition security programs, specifically experience in poultry, soybean, sunflower and sorghum value chains.
- Five years of progressively senior experience working with extension and advisory services on farming and livestock sector productivity.
- Experienced trainers and facilitators with exceptional skills in designing curricula and conducting skills-building workshops and implementing capacity strengthening approaches with a variety of stakeholders, from government officials, program managers, and implementers to civil society organizations, representatives of diverse community groups, and faith-based groups.
- Experience with the implementation of climate smart agriculture (CSA), agribusiness and market system strengthening interventions among smallholder farmer cooperatives in rural communities.
- Experience building partnerships across the private and public sectors, community-based stakeholders and other relevant agricultural agencies/institutions in Tanzania.
- Well organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken): Fluency in Swahili is preferred.

Working Conditions, Travel and Environment
- IMA or LWR or Corus, as relevant to the country has a in-person or hybrid work policy, if in-person, state “with all employees reporting to the office Monday through Friday”; if hybrid, state “allowing work to be done remotely; 1 days/week minimum in the office is required. The employee must be available to work outside normal office hours or on weekends as required.
- This position must be able to travel as required for standard domestic and international business purposes. While performing the duties of this job in different locations, the employee may be exposed to precarious settings under high-security risks and/or very basic living conditions and outside weather conditions, as well as to infectious diseases.
- If applicable, you must have authorization to work in the country of assignment.
