Key Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:
- Degree, diploma, or certificate from an accredited medical institution.
- Qualified Nurse, Midwife, or Clinical Officer (One year of clinical experience is an added advantage).
- At least one year of experience in clinical research, including data collection, handling, and interviews.
- Proficiency in English and Swahili (written and spoken).
- Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and high-quality work standards.
- Technical skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.).
- Ability to maintain quality, safety, and infection control standards.
- Strong teamwork, planning, and organizational skills.
- Experience in both qualitative and quantitative data collection methods.
Position Responsibilities:
Field Research & Data Collection:
- Travel to field sites, recruit participants, obtain informed consent, and collect both qualitative and quantitative data while ensuring accuracy, security, and ethical compliance.
Data Management:
- Review, edit, and compile research data, following up as needed to maintain data integrity.
Interviews & Engagement:
- Conduct face-to-face and telephone interviews, engaging clinical and community partners in research efforts.
Project Coordination:
- Assist in preparing research materials, interview guides, reports, and presentations.
Meetings & Workshops:
- Support planning and attend research meetings, seminars, and training workshops.
Equipment & Supplies Management:
- Request, maintain, and ensure proper use of necessary project tools.
Training & Compliance:
- Undergo training related to research ethics, data collection, and best practices.
