RESPONSIBILITIES
- Strategic Planning & Implementation of Dumisha Amani II Interventions Support UNDP and Government partners to develop detailed implementation plans aligned with national youth policies and Dumisha Amani-II objectives.
- Ensure synergy and alignment of Dumisha Amani II activities with national strategies, existing peace assessments, and complementary initiatives.
- Work closely with UNDP technical teams to ensure effective coordination, quality assurance, and timely delivery of Dumisha Amani II activities.
- Multi-Stakeholder Coordination & Partnership Management Facilitate coordination between UNDP, government institutions, CSOs, community structures, and development partners.
- Provide technical inputs to strengthen multi-stakeholder collaboration across Tanzania Mainland and Zanzibar.
- Lead stakeholder consultations, interviews, meetings, and organize validation workshops for priorities and proposed interventions.
- Peace for Infrastructure Strengthening Provide technical support to strengthen national and community peace infrastructures, including coordination mechanisms for conflict prevention, management, and resolution.
- Support capacity-building activities for community policing structures and other local peace mechanisms to enhance their effectiveness in addressing community security and peacebuilding challenges.
- Support the establishment, strengthening, and operationalization of community policing initiatives as platforms for enhancing community safety, social cohesion, and trust between communities and law enforcement agencies.
- Peacebuilding Action Plans Support Provide technical leadership and coordination support for the implementation and monitoring of the National Action Plan on Youth, Peace and Security (NAP-YPS).
