RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor compliance with approved Environmental and Social Management Plans (ESMPs).
- Conduct environmental inspections and audits.
- Identify and mitigate environmental risks associated with construction activities.
- Monitor waste management, pollution control, erosion prevention, and rehabilitation measures.
- Ensure compliance with national environmental legislation and international best practices.
- Prepare environmental monitoring reports and compliance documentation.
- Coordinate environmental awareness and training programs for project personnel.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities and local communities on environmental matters.
- Monitor implementation of corrective and preventive environmental actions.
- Support environmental incident investigations and reporting.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Natural Resources Management, Environmental Management, or related field.
- Relevant professional certification in environmental management is desirable.
- Must have served as an Environmental Expert in at least one airport construction project within the last ten (10) years.
- Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in environmental management for infrastructure projects.
- Demonstrated experience in environmental monitoring and implementation of ESMPs.
- Familiarity with environmental regulations and safeguards applicable to construction projects.
