- The teacher will facilitate learning by building positive relationships with pupils and effectively organizing classroom resources and the learning environment.

- The teacher will develop and foster the appropriate academic skills and social abilities required for the optimum development of children according to their ages, abilities and aptitudes.

- The role also involves assessing and recording pupils’ progress and preparing them for examinations.

- The teacher will connect pupils’ current knowledge with earlier learning, develop strategies to encourage further progress, and challenge and inspire pupils to deepen their knowledge and understanding.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Teaching and curriculum delivery The teacher will: Teach all areas of the secondary physics curriculum.

- Plan, prepare and present lessons that address the needs of pupils across the full ability range.

- Prepare and deliver lessons to classes of different ages and abilities.

- Motivate pupils through enthusiastic and imaginative presentations.

- Research new subject areas, maintain up-to-date subject knowledge, and devise and write new curriculum materials.

- Select and use a range of learning resources and equipment, including podcasts and interactive whiteboards.
