OVERVIEW
Job Description Project Facilitator (1 post) – Mara Organization Community Volunteers for the World (CVM Tanzania) About the role The Empowered II project , financed by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation, aims to develop and strengthen branches of Domestic Workers’ Associations (DWAs) within the CHODAWU network in 14 newly established regions of Tanzania. The project also seeks to enhance professional training in domestic work through capacity-building activities for teachers in VETA training centres. Furthermore, Empowered II contributes to preventing human trafficking and child labour by promoting awareness, protection mechanisms, and decent work standards. Purpose of the position The Project Facilitator will support the implementation of project activities aimed at empowering domestic workers through training, community engagement, economic strengthening, and coordination with local government authorities. RESPONSIBILITIES
- The Project Facilitator will: Mobilize domestic workers and community members to participate in project activities.
- Facilitate the recruitment of domestic workers to attend vocational training sessions.
- Support the identification and recruitment of beneficiaries and domestic workers to become CHODAWU members and participate in branch formation.
- Coordinate with CHODAWU Regional Secretaries, ward officials, Community Development Officers, and local leaders to recruit domestic workers to join CHODAWU branches.
- Monitor beneficiaries’ progress, including training attendance and the progress of project activities.
- Provide coaching and follow-up support to domestic workers receiving microcredit or revolving funds.
- Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly field reports.
- Support data collection, verification, documentation, case management, best practices, and lessons learned from the regions in collaboration with domestic worker leaders and the CHODAWU regional office.
- Facilitate group formation, savings groups, peer-support meetings, and branch meetings.
- Support conflict resolution and mediation within groups or between domestic workers and employers when required, in collaboration with CHODAWU leaders and local authorities.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- The Project Facilitator will also: In collaboration with the Project Coordinator, support the management of financial resources allocated to project activities, ensuring their proper, transparent, and compliant use according to organizational procedures.
- Ensure the proper management of project materials, office supplies, and equipment, and report any replenishment or repair needs to the Project Coordinator.
- Maintain an orderly and professional working environment at the field office, ensuring adherence to safety and safeguarding standards.
- Support logistical and administrative arrangements for staff field missions, workshops, and stakeholder engagements.
- Ensure compliance with organizational administrative procedures, data-protection protocols, and ethical guidelines in all office-related tasks.
