- The organization is looking for a motivated, detail-oriented, and results-driven professional to join its team as an Assistant Accountant and support day-to-day financial and accounting operations.

- What we’re looking for The successful candidate should have: Strong practical experience in accounting or financial services operations.

- Ability to maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely financial reporting.

- Good experience in account reconciliations and bank reconciliations.

- Ability to prepare payments, vouchers, journals, and supporting accounting documents.

- Ability to assist with loan accounting, savings, and portfolio reporting.

- Good understanding of internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory

REQUIREMENTS

- Good knowledge of accounting principles and applicable financial reporting standards.

- Good knowledge of relevant statutory returns, including: Value Added Tax (VAT) Pay As You Earn (PAYE) Withholding Tax (WHT) Skills and Development Levy (SDL) National Social Security Fund (NSSF) Ability to prepare financial statements.

- Experience

REQUIREMENTS

- Candidates must have: A minimum of three years of practical working experience in accounting or financial services operations.

- Hands-on experience in day-to-day accounting and financial management within a professional environment.

- Previous experience working in a microfinance institution or similar financial services environment will be an added advantage.

- Accounting software

REQUIREMENTS

- Proficiency in using accounting software is required.

- Experience with Odoo Accounting Software will be an added advantage.

- Education

REQUIREMENTS

- The minimum qualification is: A Certificate or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

- A Bachelor’s Degree or another higher qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field will be an added advantage but is not mandatory.
