SUMMARY

OVERVIEW

- Emerging Health Initiatives (EHI) is a non-profit international organization headquartered in the United States with a growing network of collaborators and partners in Tanzania, Kenya, and the United States.

- The organization is dedicated to improving access to quality, affordable, and compassionate healthcare services, particularly for underserved rural communities.

- EHI works to strengthen healthcare delivery systems through direct service provision, community outreach programs, health education, and partnerships with local stakeholders.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Provide nursing care according to professional standards.

- Deliver ANC, RCH, Family Planning, and Immunization services.

- Conduct patient assessment, triage, and monitoring.

- Administer medications and treatments.

- Perform wound dressing and emergency nursing procedures.

- Maintain patient records and service registers.

- Prepare government reports and service statistics.

- Participate in outreach activities and health education programs.

- Support implementation of infection prevention and control standards.

REQUIREMENTS

- Diploma/EN in Nursing.

- Registration with the Tanzania Nursing and Midwifery Council.

- Valid practicing license.

- Minimum three (3) years of relevant clinical experience.

- Experience in ANC services, Reproductive and Child Health (RCH), Family Planning services, and Immunization services.

- Experience with government reporting systems and Electronic Medical Records (EMR).

- Added advantages: experience conducting outreach programs, mentoring junior staff, knowledge of digital health technologies, and social media communication and content creation skills.
