SUMMARY
OVERVIEW
- The Sales and Loan Recovery Officer will be responsible for driving business growth through effective sales of financial products and ensuring timely recovery of loans.
- The role combines customer relationship management with credit monitoring, aiming to maximize revenue while maintaining healthy loan portfolios.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Promote and sell loans and related financial services to new and existing clients.
- Identify customer needs and provide tailored financial solutions.
- Achieve set sales targets and contribute to revenue growth.
- Guide clients through the loan application process.
- Ensure accurate documentation and timely processing.
- Track loan performance and repayment schedules.
- Identify early warning signs of default.
- Recommend restructuring options where necessary.
- Implement effective collection and recovery plans.
- Negotiate repayment schedules with delinquent clients.
- Coordinate repossession and disposal of assets when required.
- Maintain strong, professional communication with clients.
- Handle queries and concerns respectfully to preserve trust.
- Build long-term relationships that support business growth.
- Ensure all sales and recovery activities adhere to company policies and legal requirements.
- Prepare regular reports on loan portfolio performance on a weekly basis.
- Provide insights to management for decision-making.
- Work closely with sales and credit risk departments.
- Perform all duties to be assigned by the supervisor.
REQUIREMENTS
- Strong networking and problem-solving skills.
- Must be aware of market trends, competitors in the market and future threats.
- Expert marketing skills and ability to implement new and innovative marketing strategies.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in the digital and social media space.
- Experience of working with Microfinance Institutions will be an added advantage.
- Experience in debt collection, repayment negotiations, and recovery strategies.
- Understanding of credit risk management and loan portfolio monitoring.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills for assessing loan performance.
- Ability to identify early warning signs of default and propose solutions.
