SUMMARY
OVERVIEW
- The U.S. Mission in Tanzania is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the Procurement Supervisor in the General Services Office.
- The position is open to the public.
- Current employees of the Mission are also eligible to apply.
- The position is a permanent appointment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversees the procurement section and is responsible for acquiring goods and services for the Department of State and all other subscribing agencies.
- Sets procedures, priorities, schedules, coordinates and oversees all procurement and contracting activities.
- Supervises a team of seven staff.
- Manages the software system (ILMS/Ariba) that the U.S. Government uses to handle purchasing, contracts, and supply tracking.
REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to obtain and hold a security certificate and a medical certificate.
- Must be subject to a background investigation and a pre-employment medical exam.
- Must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time upon receipt of agency authorization and clearances/certifications.

BENEFITS
- Salary: TZS TSh77,198,751 per year.
- Work Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week.
- Promotion Potential: LE-10.
