**Job Title: Program Officer – Newborn Health**
**Overview:**
Thamini Uhai is seeking to recruit Program Officers – Newborn Health to support the implementation of newborn health interventions at regional, council, and facility levels. The role focuses on delivering high-quality newborn care services, strengthening quality improvement systems, and promoting continuity of care from pregnancy to postnatal periods.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Supports the implementation of newborn health interventions across supported facilities.
* Supports the implementation of quality improvement activities and strengthening of clinical practices.
* Supports planning and execution of program activities at regional and council levels.
* Supports strengthening of health worker capacity to deliver quality newborn care services.
* Supports strengthening of systems required for effective newborn care delivery.
* Supports routine monitoring of program performance and use of data for decision-making.
* Supports collaboration with government and partners to strengthen newborn health services.
* Supports documentation and sharing of program experiences and learning.
**Requirements:**
* Bachelor’s degree in Medicine, Nursing, Midwifery, or a related health field.
* A master’s degree in Paediatrics, Neonatology, Public Health, or a related field is an added advantage.
* Minimum of five (5) years of experience in RMNCAH programs, with demonstrated experience in newborn health.
