**Job Title: Paediatrician (Neonate)**

**Overview:**
Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is seeking a Paediatrician (Neonate) to provide outpatient and/or inpatient paediatric care to patients/beneficiaries according to adapted and updated medical knowledge, MSF protocols, values, and universal hygiene standards.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Apply medical knowledge and skills to prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of children, ensuring integrated new-born and paediatric care through Emergency, OPD, and IPD services.
* Collaborate closely with the different departments of the hospital, ensuring all updated MSF medical protocols and universal precautions are followed and implemented.
* Propose and implement strategies for new-born and paediatric care management after validation of Operation and Paediatric Advisor.
* Ensure ongoing new-born and paediatric training of the medical/paramedical multidisciplinary team.
* Keep patients and their families informed of the illness and the treatment to follow.
* Follow up the evolution of hospitalized/IDP patients through daily visits, consultations, and examinations.
* Monitor the proper functioning of the department, equipment, or material, and address the list of missing items for new-born and paediatric activities.
* Participate in the introduction/improvement of the collection and analysis of epidemiological new-born and paediatric data.
* Manage the team under direct responsibility according to MSF HR policies and procedures.
**Quality and Clinical Care Improvement:**
* Provide daily clinical management of neonates admitted to the NCU.
* Diagnose and treat common neonatal conditions.
* Perform neonatal procedures such as neonatal resuscitation, CPAP management, IV access, and fluid management.
* Conduct regular mortality/morbidity reviews and Patient safety incident reports involving the neonatal and paediatric team members in the department.
* Implement evidence-based neonatal care protocols.
**Requirements:**
* Medical degree (MD) or equivalent.
* Specialized training in paediatrics.
* Experience in managing a paediatric department.
* Strong clinical skills and knowledge of paediatric care.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make quick decisions.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work in a team and manage a team.
* Fluency in English and/or local language.
