Summary

**Procurement and Logistics Officer**

**Overview**
Lifewater is seeking a Procurement and Logistics Officer to ensure that all programs in Tanzania align with the organization`s procurement systems and processes. The position holder will promote and ensure compliance with national and Lifewater policies, identifying and reporting risk issues to ensure integrity, transparency, and accountability for all procurement-related activities.

**Key Responsibilities**

* **Procurement Operations**
+ Draft and implement the annual procurement plan
+ Ensure timely completion, documentation, and delivery of procurement activities
+ Record and submit requests for purchase of goods and services
+ Send out requests for quotations and purchase orders to suppliers and service providers
+ Compile supporting documentation and maintain a pipeline of recommended suppliers
+ Update the pre-qualification list of suppliers and service providers annually
* **Contract Management**
+ Establish and maintain a central register of main contracts
+ Manage supplier and/or contractor contracts
+ Prepare and dispatch LPOs for goods and services
+ Monitor the performance of selected suppliers
+ Ensure invoice reconciliation and matching receipts to purchase orders
* **Logistics & Administration**
+ Ensure goods and materials supplied meet specifications and are supplied at the best prices
+ Manage clearing and forwarding/handling logistics and transportation of goods and materials
+ Oversee the purchase and usage of fuel
+ Ensure annual registration, tax, and insurance of vehicles and other assets
+ Maintain a list of maintenance, repair, and replacement of equipment, fixtures, and furnishings
* **Reporting and Compliance**
+ Prepare monthly procurement reports and submit them to the Country Director
+ Submit weekly 1:1 status reports and monthly timesheets to the supervisor
+ Conduct site visits for construction-related procurements
+ Conduct market surveys for prices and maintain a list of prices for commonly purchased items

**Requirements**

* Bachelor`s degree in Procurement, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field
* At least 2 years of experience in procurement and logistics
* Strong knowledge of procurement policies and procedures
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work in a team environment and manage multiple priorities
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
