Director of Fiber Infrastructure & Network Strategy at Halotel
**Overview**
- Lead the strategic expansion, maintenance, and optimization of Halotel`s national optic fiber footprint.
- Oversee the full lifecycle of the four-tier network architecture—Backbone, Distribution, Metro, and Last Mile.
- Ensure seamless integration with the National ICT Broadband Backbone (NICTBB) and high-availability connectivity for all Base Transceiver Stations (BTS).
**Key Responsibilities**
- Manage large cross-functional teams and multi-million dollar infrastructure budgets.
- Develop and implement strategies for the expansion and maintenance of Halotel`s fiber infrastructure.
- Collaborate with the CTO/CEO to drive business growth and development.
**Requirements**
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in the telecommunications sector, specifically within fiber optics (OFC) and transmission.
- Bachelor`s or Master`s degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Deep understanding of DWDM, SDH, GPON technologies, and large-scale IP/MPLS network architectures.
- Strong knowledge of the Tanzanian telecom landscape, including familiarity with TCRA regulations and NICTBB operational protocols.
