**Job Title: Litigation Management and Corporate Secretary**
**Overview**
Airtel Africa is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Litigation Management and Corporate Secretary to join our team in Tanzania. As a key member of our legal department, you will be responsible for managing and mitigating legal risks, providing legal support, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Oversee litigation management, including disputes, lawsuits, and regulatory investigations
* Liaise with external law firms to ensure alignment with company goals and cost-effective dispute resolution
* Ensure proper instructions are obtained from internal User Groups and external legal services are managed within budget
* Review and provide feedback on advice provided by external counsel
* Draft and process commercial transactions and agreements
* Familiarize self with company policies and procedures
* Provide legal support for corporate secretarial duties, including registration and filing of corporate documents
* Support the department in respect of company commercial matters, including intellectual property
**Requirements**
* Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree
* Qualified Advocate licensed to practice in Tanzania Courts
* 3-5 years experience in handling corporate, contractual/commercial-related legal matters
* Up-to-date knowledge of commercial law, including litigation management, company law, legal drafting, general contract law, corporate and commercial law, telecommunications industry structure and business models, employment law and practice, and intellectual property law
