COMPETENCIES, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Education / Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Gender Studies, Development Studies, Public Administration, Social Sciences, Humanitarian Studies, Disaster Risk Management, or related field
Experience (Essential)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in senior administration and programme management
- Proven experience managing both humanitarian and development programmes
- Demonstrated experience integrating gender equality and disaster preparedness/DRR
- Experience coordinating with government institutions, UN agencies, and donors
- Strong experience in staff supervision, administration, and donor compliance
Skills and Knowledge
- Strong understanding of gender-responsive DRR, preparedness, resilience, and humanitarian–development nexus programming
- Excellent leadership, coordination, facilitation, and advocacy skills
- Strong organisational, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to work in complex and changing environments
- Willingness to travel frequently
Desirable
- Experience working with older people and people with disabilities
- Experience in refugee or displacement contexts
