COMPETENCIES, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Education / Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Gender Studies, Development Studies, Public Administration, Social Sciences, Humanitarian Studies, Disaster Risk Management, or related field

Experience (Essential) 

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in senior administration and programme management
  • Proven experience managing both humanitarian and development programmes
  • Demonstrated experience integrating gender equality and disaster preparedness/DRR
  • Experience coordinating with government institutions, UN agencies, and donors
  • Strong experience in staff supervision, administration, and donor compliance

Skills and Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of gender-responsive DRR, preparedness, resilience, and humanitarian–development nexus programming
  • Excellent leadership, coordination, facilitation, and advocacy skills
  • Strong organisational, analytical, and communication skills
  • Ability to work in complex and changing environments
  • Willingness to travel frequently

Desirable

  • Experience working with older people and people with disabilities
  • Experience in refugee or displacement contexts
