This request for bids follows the General
Procurement Notice for this Project that appeared in the United Nations
Development Business (UNDB) Issue No. WB-0P0015674
of 28.11.2021.
2.
The Government of the United Republic of
Tanzania has received fund from the World Bank toward the cost of the Tanzania Higher Education for Economic Transformation
Project (HEET), and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments
under the contract for Supply, Delivery, Installation, Training
and Commissioning of Laboratory Equipment at The Nelson Mandela African Institution of
Science and Technology (NM-AIST)

The Nelson Mandela African Institution of Science and Technology
now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for Supply, Delivery, Installation, Training and Commissioning
of Laboratory Equipment in 9 lots.
Note: Bidders are allowed to apply for one or more Lots as
preferred

Bidding will be conducted through National Competitive
Procurement using a Request for Bids
(RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s
“Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” November, 2020 (“Procurement Regulations”), and is open to all eligible
Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.

Interested eligible Bidders may obtain
further information through TANePS (www.taneps.go.tz. )
6.
The bidding document in English language may be downloaded by any
registered bidder from website https://www.taneps.go.tz. Interested bidders have to necessarily
register themselves on https://www.taneps.go.tz to participate in the bidding under this bid.
It shall be the sole responsibility of the interested bidders to get them
registered at the aforesaid website and apprise themselves adequately regarding
all the relevant procedures and provisions related to uploading and submitting
of the bids on the aforesaid website. https://www.taneps.go.tz. The Bidders shall fill up all information as
instructed. The Bidders shall download all forms and fill up as instructed. The
filled-up forms/pages shall then be scanned and uploaded on the TANePS along
with the scanned copies of the supporting documents.
7.
The Bidders shall submit their bids electronically through TANePS

before the cut-off date and time for submission Monday 5th June, 2023. Detailed guidelines for viewing

Issued
by reputable Bank. The Bidders have to submit a scanned copy of
the Bid Security on the TANePS as per the format provided in the Bidding
Document. The Original Bid Security must be submitted physically on or before Monday 5th June, 2023, at 1000 EAT Hours
through the address provided below. If the original Bid Security is not
submitted by bidder at the date and time specified, the bid shall not be considered.
9.
During
submission of original Bid security the outer envelope shall not bear Bidder’s
name and address to remain anonymous until the bid opening date.
10.
Attention is drawn to the Procurement
Regulations requiring the Borrower to disclose information on the successful
bidder’s beneficial ownership, as part of the Contract Award Notice, using the
Beneficial Ownership Disclosure Form as included in the bidding document.
